With over 25 years of experience as a litigator, Michael S. Paulonis has built a distinguished
career representing clients in federal, state, and local courts throughout New York. His practice
spans diverse areas of law, including matrimonial and family law, probate and estate
administration, personal injury, real estate, commercial disputes, and employment law.
Michael has a proven track record of guiding clients through every stage of their legal journey,
from initial intake to final judgment. Known for his meticulous attention to detail, he has drafted
and managed legal documents of all kinds, handled depositions, and successfully conducted jury
and bench trials.
As a former solo practitioner and partner at Hernandez & Paulonis, P.C., Michael has worked on
cases in some of New York’s most complex legal environments. He is admitted to the New York
State Bar and the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern, Southern, and Northern Districts of New
York.
Beyond his legal career, Michael is committed to giving back, serving as a pro bono attorney for
Access Justice Brooklyn and volunteering at legal clinics to assist underserved communities. He
earned his law degree from St. John’s University School of Law and holds a bachelor’s degree in
psychology from Loyola College of Maryland.
